Hanging Rock State Park
(Cabins, Picnic Shelter and Picnic Pads)
The construction of four new 900 sf rental cabins and the renovation of six existing rental cabins originally constructed in the 1930’s. This project included an asphalt street for access, a septic system to service the cabins, a new electrical service for the cabins, and work to existing stone veneer. This portion of the project was completed in 2006; in 2014 the first ADA picnic structure was built in the park. It also included replacing an existing asphalt trail to the fishing pier, the addition of four ADA accessible concrete picnic pads along the repaved trail, and an ADA accessible concrete ramp from the historic bathhouse to the boat house. The picnic shelter has exposed timber framing/roof system with local stone veneer columns.
